The Relationship Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, managing the SME lending portfolio, and generating new business by identifying opportunities in the market. This role involves assisting in building a profitable SME asset portfolio, ensuring timely loan processing, and providing high-quality customer service to enhance client satisfaction and retention.

Job Task
Major Responsibilities
- Identify and attract new clients (both individuals and businesses) who require financial solutions.
- Conduct needs assessments of clients and develop credit proposals based on their repayment potential.
- Assist in the credit proposal approval process, working with the risk and credit administration teams to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing high-quality customer service and responding to their inquiries promptly.
- Support senior management in presenting credit proposals at management and board levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Risk, CAD, and Product Development to ensure smooth loan processing and service delivery.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all client documentation, including mortgage and legal formalities.
- Monitor the performance of the assigned portfolio, identifying any potential risks or problematic accounts early and providing solutions.
- Assist in expanding the business in the assigned territory by acquiring new clients and ensuring existing clients stay on board.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records through daily reporting and MIS management
Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas
- Strong business development and client management skills.
- Good understanding of SME and microfinance sector trends and requirements.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and assess cash-flow-based repayment capacity.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and management information systems (MIS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or any related discipline from a reputable international or Pakistani institution.
Work experience
- Up to 3 years of experience in the commercial/SME banking industry.
